Gligli P600 Noise Mod V2.32 JRS

Image
*****New V2.32 update****** I've updated the OS V2.32 to add as a vibrato LFO-target: filter resonance. It's very cool, especially when the filter cutoff frequency is relatively low. For example, I set the vibrato shape to pulse or random and the depth to full and it has a nice effect. The update also increases the range for the target of noise level (CV in on a P600 without the noise source mod from my earlier post) and speeds up the main volume knob considerably.  To be honest, I leave mine on max all the time, and never saw its speed as an issue. But I saw an easy fix and did it. Zip file with the .syx and .hex located here:  Download

Fixed CC 56 and CC 74 issues V2.29 JS

V2.29 includes: CC 56 and CC74 previously did not let you select the full compliment of LFO/Vibrato waveforms over MIDI. That has been resolved. Added new CC 77 (Poly Mod Filter Env to modulate VCO A, VCO B, or VCO AB). UI sped up to V2.26B speed. Existing bugs I need to work on:  CC  76 (Vibrato Target) is not working correctly. I'm not sure why. Release: Version 2.29 JS .hex and .syx files zipped here: Download Source code: https://github.com/matrix12x/p600fw

GliGli P600 OS Ver 2.28 Noise Mod JRS

I updated the OS to version 2.28. This adds "To Tape" + 444 menu option for assigning the poly mod filter env to modulate the pitch of VCO A only, VCO B only, or both. This is great for the creation of brass sounds and EDM leads. The default is the factory VCO A only. Here is the link to a .ZIP for the .SYX and .HEX file p600firmware V2_28.zip

Prophet 600 Poly Mod VCO B to modulate VCO A

So, I don't like how the Prophet 600's VCO A changes in pitch (not just timbre) when using Poly Mod VCO B to modulate the pitch of VCO A even on the original factory OS. It is not a software thing, it's the hardware itself.  The circuit that feeds VCO B's output to the CV input of VCO A is not AC coupled (it does not have a DC blocking cap). Thus a DC offset is introduced which changes the tuning of VCO A by raising the pitch. I hate this. I never use Poly Mod VCO B to modulate the pitch of VCO A.  I held down a single note with Saw wave selected on VCO A and VCO B was zero volume. No  Poly Mod . Here I added some FM (frequency modulation) to VCO A (Saw wave) in an unmodified Prophet 600 by using Poly Mod VCO B to VCO A frequency. If you look at the fundamental, it goes up in frequency relative to the first image. My thought were to mod the Prophet 600 to add a DC blocking cap, for example between the 4061 (e.g., U429 pin 1) and the CV in (pin 15) for VCO A (e.g., U28 C

Gligli P600 Noise mod V2.26B JRS: https://github.com/matrix12x/p600fw/...717999ed60cf98 History ======= - all revisions based on Gligli V2.1 RC3 - V2.20 JS - added noise mod and new LFO waveforms step8, seq, RevSaw - V2.21 JS - added new LFO waveforms step4 - V2.22 JS - added 4bit Triangle and 6bit Sine - V2.23 JS - fixed patch compatibility bug introduced in V 2.22 - V2.24 JS - reverted polymod bug to RC1 behavior - V2.25 JS - added new vibrato waveforms and Vibrato targets - V2.26B JS - fixed post “Tune” volume bug introduced in V2.25 V2.25 includes - LFO has 6 new waveforms: Step8, RevSaw, Seq, Step4, Bit_Tri, Bit_Sine New Pitch Bender targets:PW(VCO A), and VCO B only New noise source setting control. Pressing "to tape" 0 a second time lets you adjust the VCF CV input level and store it with a patch. I modified my P600 to add a noise source and use this parameter to adjust the noise source per patch, hence in the UI this displays as "noise". However, in an u
